Let’s play a guessing game. Which sport involves a non-spherical ball, exotic-looking Velcro strips, and excessive rough-and-tumble?

That’s right, tag rugby. After many days of deliberation, I have yet to make up my mind whether this interesting game has been my nemesis or saviour. On the one hand, because of playing tag rugby on guess-what? Yes, the nice concrete parade square, of course, I sustained a knee injury that now looks like an unearthly yellowish purple blotch, the effect of various antiseptics. Also, even though Yiding commented that it was a great slippery slope, I maintain that playing tag rugby caused me to fall down, which caused my immune system to degen, which caused me to get infected with a particular nasty flu that effectively put me out of action for 3 days, and the aftereffects of which are still continuing to plague me. On the other hand, of course, the same nasty flu gave me the perfect reason to give the greatly feared General Paper CT2 a miss (and to play comp at home instead). Still, I’m glad that I won’t ever have to play tag rugby again.

With so much intensive action, I hardly noticed that the June hols have officially begun. Still, life is not going to be any less hectic for me, what with the coming A Tempo concert tomorrow, and SAT II coming up in two weeks. Both events have me rather worried, to be honest. For the former, I worry about my playing condition as I have skipped 3 consecutive band practices because of the greatly irritating flu, which is now thankfully almost eradicated and banished to (hopefully) some other dimension. I hope that I will have enough endurance to last through the whole concert, and more importantly, to play my parts properly, which may or may not have any major impact on the entire concert but is important to me personally after scamming so many people to buy the highly expensive concert ticket. For the latter, with only two weeks left, I still have not decided on which subjects to take, and how the hell I am going to study for it properly with no books or study material.

Now, let us turn back the pendulum to fill in more than one month of negligence.

The past month has been, as evidenced from my continued absence on the blog, very busy indeed. Just completed my external H3 final examination a few weeks ago, and I must admit that it has not been the most pleasing. I wasn’t able to do two questions, and know that I did one wrongly, while by rights I should have been able to do more. Still, I am hopeful for a distinction, which I really desire after all the effort that I have put into the course. As Nelson said though, it will be strange when we return next term, and suddenly not have to attend H3 lessons on every Monday and Thursday, as going to HCI/NJC twice every week has already become a routine for us. For an academic subject, I feel that this Numbers and Matrices is as fun as they can get, with all the interesting real life applications like cryptography, which the NUS module does not teach, and I do not regret taking it.

Besides that, I also went to some other concerts, like the Chinese Society performance, Chorale concert, and Chinese Orchestra concert, all of which were quite interesting. I really must applaud Shida again for his enthralling duo dizi performance. Also, the Chorale concert was rather interesting with all the funny chicken songs and cat songs and whatnot.
