Ha, I see that another two weeks have passed from when I last blogged. I blame this not on the lack of time but rather my laziness. Of course, by all logic, I should be VERY busy right now mugging my head off for my upcoming SAT and H3 maths tests.

The reality is a different story though. Lately, I find myself in an increasingly indulgent and laid back state of mind. For instance, we had the final physics spa session on skill A today. While I felt that I did fine for it, the reason is not because of hard work and effort but more rather a stroke of luck and some frantic last minute mugging. In fact, I had actually completely forgotten the existence of the physics spa just the night before it, until fortuitously kovan reminded me of it incidentally around 9pm.

Another piece of bad news hit me face-on with my resounding napfa failure. Not that I really did not expect it since in the first place I can at most scrape a silver and furthermore, I did not exercise much in the weeks leading up napfa, instead gouging on nice junk food like potato chips, ice cream, and oily chicken drumsticks/drumlets(the nice crispy ones in the school canteen). Despite knowing my chances of passing were dismal, I still can't help being shocked out of my magically drowsy and wandering state of mind when the fact that I hopped a pathetic 214 cm for my standing broad jump registered on my decomposing brain. With urgent desperation, I summoned all my strength for a second jump...and bravo, 214 again! Haiz...and I thought that just maybe I had a chance of stuffing potato chips, ice cream, and crispy drumlets into my mouth without feeling painful tinges of guilt.

So, what have I been doing at home if I had not been studying for SATs and H3 maths test and all my H2s? Besides eating potato chips, ice cream, and crispy chicken drumlets, that is. Well, I proudly admit that I have been watching more anime, tv, and stoning randomly on the comp. Got caught on Ghost in the Shell: Stand-alone Complex recently, a rather cool futuristic anime. As can be seen, this is another cool-sounding cryptic title that does not really reveal anything about the anime itself, and hence can be classified into the huge ranks of impressive sounding anime titles that does not tell you anything about the anime itself, which include the likes of "Fate/Stay Night", "Neon Genesis Evangelion" and "Elfen Lied"(this does not apply if you understand German, though). In fact though, as I watched the anime, I gradually begin to get an inkling of what the title signifies. Given the context of a futuristic society where most humans have had cybernetics implants like robotic arms, legs, eyes, and even brains, "Ghost" actually refers to a "soul", while "shell" refers to the robotic exterior of the bulk of people in the society. Cool, no?
