Today is the fourth day of the third week that I have been alone at home. Wonderfully, I have been able to stay healthy and alive till now. But alas, all good things must come to an end, for an ailing sickness has struck me with all the power of a thunderbolt.
Indeed, I am wasting away on a stomachache. With symptoms of lasting flatulence and diarrhoea, I cannot help but feel pity for myself. The funny thing is that the possible sources of this illness are so numerous that I cannot even remember them all. Was it the yoghurt that I ate on the day of its expiry? Was the crackers that fell out of the pack some time ago and have been ever since stoning in my fridge? Or was it the somewhat rotten vegetables that I consumed a few days ago? I only know that I am now paying for the consequences of my irresponsible actions and am now stuck on a diet of nothing but porridge, bread, and more porridge.
But, this uninteresting fact aside, many interesting things have happened ever since the last I blogged. The holidays have indeed been an extremely relaxing time for me. Besides playing a lot of comp at home and watching nice animes like Fate/Stay night(my cool blogskin!!), basilisk or kouga ninja scrolls, as well as neon genesis evangelion which I am currently watching, I have also been going out with friends very often. A few weeks ago, I watched Beowulf, which was not very nice, but had a nice song. "Always, the hero comes home!" And soon after Enchanted, which was rather lame, but nevertheless quite nice. Just watched Golden Compass a few days ago as well, which was quite nice but rather short. I liked the fighting polar bears lolz.
Despite my waning health, I nevertheless determined to watch the JC Band Fest yesterday, pulling a dongz along as a companion, since there were so many ppl in band who was taking part in it, and I felt obliged as a fellow batch-mate to give my invaluable support in this event, even though I felt it was rather rip off at a stunning $11.80, which helped greatly in lightening my already emaciated purse. Anyway, it turned out to be rather nice, especially the performance put up by the honour band, which really turned out to be worthy of its name as they put up a repertoire of many a nice song that so astounded me and dongz since they had but a mere five days to practice it. Another interesting thing was that there turned out to be many "lookalikes" participating in this event. While we only caught sight of a piccolo player in the "Fennell" band who looked remarkably like a cheese, paul claimed that there was a girl who looked like Alastair and cheese himself claims that there was a guy who looked like Hong Jiang. lolz. Anyway, the participants all seemed rather high after the performance and kept "bursting into random songs" as dongz put it, on our way to find a place for supper. In the end though, the quest for supper was doomed as most of the eateries near the esplanade were closed, and while they decided in the end to go to Suntec city, I myself who felt a bit like fainting then because of the two meagre meals of porridge and bread that I had and my roiling stomach, chose not to accompany them and went home instead.
To conclude, I must say that the nicest movie I have watched this hols is.....STARDUST!!!! And the nicest anime I have watched is..........FATE/STAY NIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Haha!!! Heck wentao and his philosophical(NGE) and mushy(Chobits) inclinations.
